nyc duplex - dargo architecture - tribeca - 3,000 sf

This duplex apartment within historic 366 Broadway—once the American Typewriter Company headquarters—hadn't been renovated in decades when we tackled the full gut project.

Threading a sculptural blonde wood staircase through the existing floor opening demanded exacting precision and superior craftsmanship to achieve the floating effect we envisioned.

The result: glass-wrapped stairs that hover like a jewel in the center of the space, with a cantilevered buffet that bridges kitchen and dining room without visible support.
